BACKGROUND
BAFTA award winner director Nicolas Brown was committed to another project and had to leave his epic climate change feature documentary featuring Pope Francis before it was finished. Edit director Carla Rebai and I were charged with finishing the film. Nic worked with us when he could and the finished film was well received and as timely as any film with this subject could be.

The story
This sequence is a celebration of special places on Earth from a spiritual perspective. I was terribly moved by one of our interview subjects, theologian Martin Palmer talking about the human need for sacred places and tried to illustrate his words with the most iconic images we could find.
