BACKGROUND
Olimba has had her cubs and only the male survived. He was christened Makumbi. We needed a sequence of his learning the ropes as he grew up with his mother.

The story
This is the story of the famous leopard Olimba from Zambia’s Luangwa River. Again, this sequence was a joy to assemble and fine cut. I’m always struck by just how blue Makumbi’s eyes are. Sequences like this enable editors to play with motion comparisons, action cuts and the relationship between internal image components.
